Underwater Navigator

Stop wandering and become a diver who always knows the way back. Underwater navigation is a vital skill for any independent diver. This course teaches you how to accurately use a dive compass and natural environmental cues to always find your way back to the boat or shore, increasing your safety and reducing stress underwater.

Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent).

Course content:

• 3 open water dives focusing on navigation skills.
• Using a dive compass (setting headings, reciprocal courses, square and triangle patterns).
• Natural navigation (using terrain, light, and currents).
• Distance estimation underwater (kick cycles, time, air pressure).
