padi EMERGENCY OXYGEN PROVIDER

Learn to provide critical aid in diving emergencies. Administering 100% oxygen is the single most important first aid step for suspected decompression illness. This course teaches you how to recognize diving injuries that require oxygen and how to safely and effectively handle oxygen delivery equipment.

Prerequisite: None (open to divers and non-divers).

Course content:

  • Recognizing signs and symptoms of diving accidents.
  • Assembling and disassembling emergency oxygen systems.
  • Administering oxygen using demand valves and constant flow masks.
  • Safety rules for handling medical oxygen.
